AnythingWeather offers professional installation, maintenance, and support of the hardware and software required to operate your weather network. Once your agency has chosen the locations for the new hardware, we will work directly with each location to choose the best install site for weather data accuracy and web camera views.
AnythingWeather is in close and constant contact with the National Weather Service headquarters in Washington D.C. to ensure that all weather stations we install are sited properly, resulting in the most accurate data feed possible. Our careful attention to these guidelines for each installation will ensure that your network's data becomes a reliable and valuable resource for the National Weather Service and the Department of Homeland Security. Upon request, we will deliver your network's data to these government agencies in the specific format they require. Your weather network may help provide an even bigger public service than you ever imagined!
AnythingWeather offers general maintenance and support of all hardware we sell to our clients. Your weather station and/or web camera hardware will include a two-year warranty. In addition, telephone or e-mail support will always be available during normal business hours. Our data collection, quality control, archival, and dissemination services will ensure your network is always being closely monitored and immediate attention will be directed to sites that are reporting inaccurate data.
In addition to our standard data management and friendly customer support, AnythingWeather's multi-site network clients (more than 10 stations installed by AnythingWeather) also receive an annual visit to each weather station and camera site for cleaning and calibration. This service is available to single site users for an annual fee. We offer the reliability and support to make your weather network truly turn-key: before, during, and after the hardware is installed and reporting data.

AnythingWeather has spent the past three years building an adaptable and continually expanding database of weather information being collected from more than 10,000 locations across the country. We manage all data collection, display, archival, and dissemination of this information, and our clients are given access to this vast database! As part of our turn-key network management solution, AnythingWeather offers the following components related to site communications, real-time website and on-air display, data archival, and further data dissemination:
Remote site communications
When it comes to communications at each remote location, we highly recommend requiring dedicated internet access (such as DSL, cable modem or T-1 bandwidth) at each site. This allows for a constant connection at the remote site for real-time video and weather data. Dedicated bandwidth is required to offer real-time on-air displays. If the remote reporting sites do not have dedicated internet access, we can work with your agency to launch dedicated wireless internet connectivity via our wireless internet partner. Please inform us if this is the case and if so, we will solidify the options and pricing for wireless internet access. Dial-up service is possible, but real-time data flow will be difficult if not impossible using dial-up internet connectivity.
Comprehensive and custom AnythingWeather.com image and weather data display
We will build a comprehensive weather website for each location in your multi-station network. Each weather page will reveal the site's current conditions, historical archives, and live images (if available). Your agency logo and any network sponsors will be displayed prominently on each site's exclusive weather page with a direct link back to your organization's website. We make your data available to the public on our extensive website at AnythingWeather.com for increased exposure and promotion of your organization's network. Furthermore, we will highlight your organization's weather network on each site's state map with a special colored dot indicator. Our state pages offer users a quick and easy geographic display of all available weather sites in the U.S.
Data archival services
As part of our network management solution, AnythingWeather will collect and archive every weather variable from every station at 10-minute intervals. This offers your agency a central database to redistribute your network's weather data to your website, partners, affiliates, the NWS and any other organizations you request. Our archival service also brings your organization the peace of mind that if the on-site computers crash, your historical data will always be available on-line at AnythingWeather.com.
Real-time on-air custom displays for the television and cable industry
We also offer a software solution for displaying real-time remote weather data from your TV station's weather network. AnythingWeather is the exclusive provider of the broadcast version of Weather Display™. Weather Display offers the perfect solution with maximum flexibility for displaying real-time weather data on-air using your TV station's custom backgrounds. Through a TV station computer, we will set up Weather Display to collect data from each weather station in your network (each remote weather station also runs Weather Display). We then overlay the near real-time conditions on any variety of custom graphics or maps. The real-time updates for a weather station connected directly to the PC at the TV station is every 1 second and for remote sites in your network, the updates are typically every 2-5 seconds. We will continue to develop new technology for even quicker remote data updates. This software also allows for easy additions of new remote sites at any time after the network is operational.
This service offers maximum flexibility for TV station meteorologists to customize and overlay real-time data on your own custom backgrounds. All fonts are chosen using the Weather Display software. As long as the required fonts are loaded into the TV station's on-air PC, they are available for use on your custom backgrounds. The computer will require NTSC output and a scan converter for on-air display. The software includes the ability for either automated background transitions or the use of a fire button to advance the custom backgrounds.
